The Wheaton College Mock Trial has made a name for ourself having qualified for the National Tournament six times in our first ten years. In our second full season (2012-13) we qualified for the National Tournament in Washington, D.C. and finished in 9th place. In the 2013-14 season we again qualified for the National Tournament, this time in Orlando, Florida and earned an Honorable Mention finishing in 11th place. We qualified for the National Tournament in Cincinnati for the 3rd straight year (in our four full seasons of competition) and again earned an Honorable Mention finishing in 12th place. We qualified for the National Championship in Greenville, SC in 2016, this time finishing in 15th place. In 2018, we qualified for the National Tournament in Minneapolis, MN and finished in 15th place. We finished 12th at the 2021 National Tournament held via Zoom due to the pandemic.
The AMTA 2021-2022 Team Power Rankings have Wheaton A as 33rd in the country! There are over 700 registered AMTA teams from over 400 schools.
Our program has graduated students to some of the top law schools in the country, including Yale, Harvard, Chicago, UCLA, Georgetown, Washington University in St. Louis, University of Iowa, and Washington & Lee.
